Chichester has its own harbour with several marinas, and with the South Downs and city walls, provide opportunities for many outdoor pursuits.
Popular for RYA training for power boating and sailing courses, the entire district coastline has stunning views from Pagham Harbour nature reserve to the East to views across Chichester Harbour and the Solent in the West.
Chichester has a 12th century cathedral and is the hub for culture in West Sussex boasting a theatre, museum and two art galleries. The theatre celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2012 following sell-out productions of Singin’ in the Rain, directed by Jonathan Church, and Sweeney Todd, featuring Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. This year the theatre is showing Guys and Dolls and a great programme of other shows and productions.
